Justin Mirza, D.O.

Dr. Justin Mirza, D.O., is a Long Island–based orthopedic surgeon at Mirza Orthopedics specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of injuries and conditions affecting both the upper and lower extremities. He earned his medical degree from the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2009, completed his orthopedic surgery residency at North Shore–Long Island Jewish in 2014, and a Hand Surgery fellowship at Stony Brook University Hospital in 2015. Dr. Mirza performs a wide range of procedures, including minimally invasive and arthroscopic surgeries such as carpal tunnel release, cubital tunnel release, and rotator cuff repair, many of which are performed in the outpatient setting. As a Level 1 trauma surgeon at Stony Brook University Hospital, he also manages complex fractures and performs advanced limb-saving vascular, nerve, and hand reconstruction procedures. In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Mirza is actively involved in orthopedic research, has published extensively on hand and upper extremity conditions, and contributes to innovations in treatments such as platelet-rich plasma (PRP) therapy and the development of advanced orthopedic fixation devices.
