Dr Matthew Rutman was born in Brooklyn, New York and graduated cum laude from Binghamton University with a degree in Biology. After completing medical school at New York College of Osteopathic Medicine, he completed his residency in emergency medicine at St. Barnabas Hospital in the Bronx where he was named chief resident receiving honors in teaching and patient care.
Dr. Rutman is a member of the American College of Osteopathic Emergency Physicians and board certified by the American Board of Osteopathic Emergency Medicine. In addition to his work at Rutman Medical, PLLC performing trigger point injections, Dr. Rutman has been practicing emergency medicine as an attending physician for the past 15 years at St. Charles Hospital in Port Jefferson, New York and several other institutions.
Currently residing in Miller Place, New York, Dr. Rutman is a dedicated father of 6 and an active member of the community where he coaches the St.Anthony’s travel basketball team. He enjoys traveling with his family, playing golf and fishing.
Pain management has been a continuing interest for Dr. Rutman and an integral part of his practice. He continues to maintain a holistic approach to patient care.
